چکیده
This paper proposes an identification methodology based on nanoindentation analysis of coating/substrate system to extract the elastic-plastic properties coating materials substrate when indenter penetration depth is greater than film thickness. In order accurately predict materials, a trust-region reflective optimization algorithm integrated with finite element analysis, in cooperation Jönsson and Hogmark model. The proposed reverse modifies predicted load-displacement (P-h) curve by changing until it fits experimental curve. Numerical instrumental indentations tests were carried out CrN film/Martensitic stainless steel verify method, which Young's modulus (E), yield stress (σy), work hardening exponent obtained. A sensitivity conducted study effect film/substrate results showed high impact loading unloading part due variations (E) (σy) compared those coating.

Stabilized finite element formulation for elastic–plastic finite deformations
This paper presents a stabilized finite element formulation for nearly incompressible finite deformations in hyperelastic–plastic solids, such as metals. An updated Lagrangian finite element formulation is developed where mesh dependent terms are added to enhance the stability of the mixed finite element formulation. This formulation circumvents the restriction on the displacement and pressure ...
متن کاملFinite-element Formulations for Problems of Large Elastic-plastic Deformation
Abstract-An Eulerian finite element formulation is presented for problems of large elastic-plastic flow. The method is based on Hill’s variational principle for incremental deformations, and is ideally suited to isotropically hardening Prandtl-Reuss materials. Further, the formulation is given in a manner which allows any conventions finite element program, for “small strain” elastic-plastic an...

On Convergence of the Finite-element Method for a Class of Elastic-plastic Solids*
A proof of convergence of the finite-element method in rate-type, quasistatic boundary value problems is presented. The bodies considered may be discretely heterogeneous and elastically anisotropic, their plastic behavior governed by historydependent, piecewise-linear yield functions and fully coupled hardening rules. Elastic moduli are required to be positive-definite and plastic moduli nonneg...
متن کاملFinite element analysis of elastic-plastic solids under Vickers indentation: surface deformation
Finite element modeling has been used to study the development of surface deformation during indentation with a Vickers indenter. A wide range of materials with different elastic modulus and yield stresses are examined. Results show that in a pyramidal indentation process, for a perfectly plastic material, sinking-in during loading can change to pile-up in unloading. This phenomenon depends on ...
